She Sews!!!!

I feel like it's been forever since I've really sat down and sewn something. Moving and having everything in boxes really makes it hard! But, I finally finished this cute girly quilt. My neighbor at our old house wanted it for her new granddaughter due in April. The nursery is going to be pink and brown. I love those two colors, so I had fun with this one. The three flannel fabrics are receiving blankets from target and the other fabrics are just stuff from my stash that matched. It's a super easy quilt to make, but I had fun making it girly.
Because I used fleece on the back, I opted not to put any batting in it. But, I still wanted it to look like a quilt, so I did a fun loopy flower quilting pattern and but a binding on it. It's a simple quilt, but the different textures make it soft and fun for the baby!

Please tell me that your sewing machine does the flower stiching for you. It is a very cute blanket and I eish that I had a girl so that I had a reason for one like it.
