LIGHTBRIGHT!!!

This is such a bright and summery dress! I originally started off using this tutorial, but as you can see I totally strayed from it. I changed the pleats and the straps. I also put buttons on the straps to make it easier to put on and adjustable. I can't wait for Brynlee to wear it!

Tuxedo Shirt

I've seen shirts similar to this and so I thought I would try making one for Brynlee. It reminds me of a little tuxedo, or something Victorian. It was super easy and looks so cute on her (if I do say so myself).

Lemons anyone?

I feel like I've sewn a lot of different things now, but have yet to try one of the most simple...curtains! Here's my first curtain attempt for the kitchen window. I made it just a cafe curtain (I think that's what they call it when it's not full length) so I can still see out the window. I already have more curtains in mind...watch out windows!!

GIVEAWAY!

Polka Dot Mom is hosting a fabulous giveaway for a gift certificate for vinyl lettering from Quote the Walls. After a very, VERY unfortunate incident involving a very large vinyl lettering quote, a husband, and an attack carpet, I really, REALLY, REALLY want to win this giveaway!!!! Go check it out and see what you think!

More sneak peaks of my new sewing room!

Maybe these are more than just sneak peaks...but here are some more pictures of my sewing room, it's really coming along! As you can see I have glowstick green walls (the color is actually called "lime mousse") and I love it! I've been having fun with the mod-podge again and used it on this cute desk that will be home for my serger. I got the desk on craigslist for $15 and gave it a fresh coat of paint and a pretty drawer and voila! I also made a snazy new cover for my ironing board. If you haven't picked up on the color scheme for my room yet it is ANYTHING CHEERY AND BRIGHT!

The latest

Here are a few things I've made recently. I love the mod-podged ceiling fan and SEW letters for my sewing room! The shirt was for Tami's son who is now a big brother (congrats Tami!!). The framed art is actually a dry erase board. The hair thingies are super fun and super easy. And the little bag is a place mat purse/scripture bag for my niece. I can't wait to have my sewing room done and time to do some REAL sewing!
