coming along

Here are a few sneak peaks of our bedroom re-do. Well, since we just moved in to our house, I guess it's technically not a RE-do, just a DO. My husband thought I was crazy when I said I wanted aqua and white, with orange accents. I think I almost have him convinced that he LOVES it...because I do....I LOVE IT!! I love the bright orange color...it just makes me happy. I love my new fun pillows too. You might recognize some of them from before, and I also added a ruffly, gathered one too. And the stripes on the wall are actually the same color paint, but one eggshell and the other semi-gloss....I love them too. Now I just need to decorate a little more. Any ideas? I love the idea of an old door for a headboard. Or a bunch of spray painted white frames on the wall (with nothing in them) as sort of a mosaic type decoration. I don't know what to do...I would love some of your thoughts...all you awesome decorators out there! Anyway, there you have it. I'll post more once more is done, but so far I am liking the way it's turning out!

Have you thought about making fabric covered panels to hang on the wall behind your bed as a headboard? I think they look very chic and I bet you would enjoy making them. Just take Plywood, wrap in foam then batting then fabric. Then hang 2 or 3 together right above the bed.
Just an idea. I love the wall treatment. Did you use a glaze to make the stripes? Are you going for a shabby chic look or more modern??
So fun. I must say you have great taste. Keep us up dated on what you do:)
