Bummer

Because of the HUGE snowstorm we had over the weekend, I've had to reschedule my Girl's Night Bow Making party...bummer!!! We had TONS of snow this weekend and were snowed in for a couple days. Dan got off work yesterday and today, so that was fun! We've just been hanging out, cleaning, baking, shopping, playing, and watching shows!  There is so much snow out there that there is no where for anyone to park for the party...and there is more snow predicted for tonight.  So, I rescheduled my party for next week.  I was sooo excited for the party, but I guess this will give me a little more time to get ready.  I've been having a lot of fun making the singed flowers.  They are addictive!
And here are a few more felt flowers added to my collection.

But, what I really need to be doing tonight is getting my pictures ready for my scrapbook weekend.  Yep, I said WEEKEND!  I'm going with some friends to VA beach for weekend full of crafting!  I'm hoping to get Brynlee's 1st year scrapbook done.  I haven't scrapbooked since before she was born.  I guess I'm not a big scrapbooker, but I want to get a cute little book done with pictures of her from each month up to 1 year to show how much she changed in a year.  I hope I can get it done!  I'm super excited to spend the weekend with fun ladies, yummy treats, and lots of crafting!  Oh, and check out this cool paper cutter I got today.  It has 6 different blades and a back light.  But, the coolest part was the price...on sale for $5!!
Oh, and I took advantage of being snowed in and made one more dress for Lil Blue Boo's design challenge.  Her patterns are sooo addictive!!  No pictures of it yet, I have to make sure my model is in a good mood before I attempt it :)

A little tip on the singed flowers - to keep the edges from looking burnt (especially on light/white fabric) you can use a heat embosser instead of a lighter or candler. It works just as good as a flame (well, I actually like the look better)!

I am always amazed at all the new products out there that make it so easy to create :)
